Natural hematite becomes magnetic hematite by creating a composite of the natural hematite, magnetite and small amounts of other minerals such as copper, titanium and aluminum. Rainbow Hematite is a mineral of iron oxide. When Hematite mixes with Goethite it is called Rainbow Hematite. It has an iridescent multicolored surface. It takes its iridescent look from the aluminum phosphate particles. 
Rainbow Hematite is associated with the Crown Chakra and is a fantastic mood elevator, capable of proving joy, passion, and heightened awareness. It is also a superior grounding stone and inspires self confidence. In addition it can also bolster creativity, and help elevate consciousness.
